Is there any sort of scene in the Los Angeles area for latex that's not strictly (but maybe only slightly) focused on pain? I want to have fun with my lifelong fetish that I've not yet given into.

Fri, July 11, 2008 - 2:21 PMNot much of a latex scene in anywhere as far as I know it's usually a small sub set of BDSM community. Good luck though hope you find something I am looking as well.

Fri, July 11, 2008 - 2:39 PMAubrey, there hasn't been a lot of activity in this tribe lately but I recommend that you set up an account on rubberpal (www.rubberpal.com). Several latex fetishist living in the LA area have accounts there. RP isn't quite as warm and fuzzy as Tribe but it is focused :)
I hope you have a wonderful immersion into this wonderful fetish. I'm an advocate of giving in. -

Sat, July 12, 2008 - 5:47 PMRP is a great resource. I've connected with many people through there. Finding other rubberists can be a real challenge.
I've found that many keep their fetish quite private. I have a standing invitation go out on the town should a rubberist happen to stop by my neck of the woods. Nearly everyone I speak to who would otherwise be interested says that going out in public would be too much for them.
Alas, for me rubber in private is ok but I want to be seen. Latex has turned me into an attention whore.
With Syren being based in LA one might think connecting with rubberists there would be easier.
